"Violence is affecting too many lives in our community. Too many families are grieving, too many young people are being pulled into harm’s way, and too many communities are living in fear. We cannot accept this as our reality. As a leader, a father, and a member of this community, I feel the weight of every life lost..."

"Every act of violence leaves behind a ripple effect of pain and trauma that extends far beyond those directly impacted. That is why my commitment—and the commitment of this government—is clear: We are taking decisive action to break the cycle of violence and build a safer, stronger Bermuda for future generations."

"Through the National Violence Reduction Strategy, we are treating violence as a public health crisis by addressing its root causes—poverty, lack of opportunity, unaddressed trauma, and the social conditions that allow violence to take hold. We are implementing real, sustainable solutions that focus on prevention, intervention, and long-term community support."

"The Stop the Violence campaign is a critical part of this effort. This initiative is about more than just raising awareness—it is about taking action. It is about highlighting the work of mentors, educators, intervention specialists, and community programs that are making a real difference. It is about amplifying messages of peace, healing, and hope. And it is about confronting the tough issues we must address to change the future for our young people and our country."

"However, this is not just a government effort—it requires all of us. No single entity can solve this challenge alone. We need parents, teachers, business leaders, faith communities, and every Bermudian to stand together in this fight." "On behalf of the Government of Bermuda, I urge you to get involved. Talk to a young person. Support local community programs. Be a mentor. Choose peace. Every conversation, every positive influence, and every small action matters." "Every voice is important. Every action counts."

"This government stands united in the fight to end violence in Bermuda. We are committed to real solutions, real change, and real hope for our people. But we need your partnership." "The time for change is now. The future of Bermuda is in our hands." "Together, we can Stop the Violence." The Honorable Michael A. Weeks JP, MP Minister of National Security
